Review summary
Based on recent reviews
Powered by AI
Guests consistently praise the convenient location, finding it easy to walk to the city centre and the Cathedral. The beautiful roses in the front garden and the charming, characterful decor create a memorable atmosphere, reminiscent of "old England"; some guests, however, have noted that certain aspects of the rooms could benefit from updating. Many appreciate the quiet street despite the central location and within walking distance of many of the city's main attractions and free, easy parking.

Adequate stay overall

top level breakfast great value dust layer smoke damage
Alex was a very cute person. His house had beautiful furnishings and his breakfast was top level. I enjoyed the fresh orange juice and preserves. The value for money was great.
The room was not cleaned properly. The kettle had a layer of dust and the water decanter did not look fresh. Mugs were not clean and the ceiling was to have smoke damage. For the price, I expected a cleaner and fresher room.

beautiful trees warm welcome parking arrangement ripped curtains stained headboard frayed divan
the house presented beautiful trees in the front garden. alex welcomed me warmly into his exquisitely kept house. i appreciated that parking was arranged in preparation for my arrival after a long drive..
i noticed the curtains were ripped in my room. the headboard on the bed looked sweat stained. i also observed that the divan was frayed with some stuffing falling out.
